General Motors is the latest auto company to issue a recall. Two recalls involve several different vehicle models. Any Louisiana resident injured by an auto part defect from a recalled vehicle may have the right to seek compensation. Although G.M. has claimed no one has suffered any accidents or injuries from the issues, it is possible affected parties may not have realized the problem before or after a crash occurred.

One of the recalls concerns the 2013 Chevy Malibu and affects over 8,000 vehicles. The NHTSA reports that bolts in the vehicle's rear suspension may be loose and possibly affect the handling of the vehicle. The auto part defect could lead to accidents, especially when a driver is traveling at a high rate of speed.

The second recall concerns almost 4,000 vehicles and targets the Sonic, Cruz, Buick Verano and Camaro. This defect involves the airbags and could be a cause of major concern. The details of this recall have not been divulged, but there is an issue with the airbag mobility system, potentially stopping the airbags from deploying in the event of an accident.

When a Louisiana resident is hurt as the result of an auto part defect, it can be a cause of concern for everyone who owns that particular vehicle. Consumers have the right to expect safe parts when purchasing automobiles. When a manufacture markets and distributes a product with a hidden danger, it has the potential to result in deadly circumstances. Any personal injury incurred by such a danger could result in a lawsuit against the manufacturer or other party involved in the sale or distribution of the vehicle.
