Louisiana officials are seeking the public's assistance in finding a driver that may have contributed to a fatal crash recently. Police are requesting information about a white van that was on U.S. Highway 90 near LA 632 in Des Allemands at the time of the fatal car accident. A 2-year-old child died in the incident.

According to a report from Louisiana authorities, the boy was in a car containing a driver, an adult passenger and two small children. As they travelled down the road, a white van passed in front of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle containing the child says that the van applied the brakes, causing the car driver to veer off of the road. The van overturned several times.

Not only was the small child killed, but others in the car were injured as a result of the car accident. Now, police are working to determine if the actions of the driver of the van were at fault for the fatality. To do this, they must first find the driver of the van in question. This may be achieved through public assistance and other eyewitness accounts.

In a car accident such as this one, injured victims or their survivors often find that they can make a claim under Louisiana personal injury laws for their injuries. These claims can include damages such as lost wages and pain and suffering. However, before a claim can be made in this car accident, the van and its driver will need to be located. Fortunately, law enforcement personnel are often successful in concluding these types of investigations.
